Beyond being delicious,
Green Tea provides many healthy benefits.

Improves Breath
Researchers found, “green tea was very effective in reducing oral malodor temporarily because of its disinfectant and deodorant activities, whereas other foods were not effective.”
Contains Medicinal Properties
Green tea contains polyphenols, which has been shown to positively impact a number of illnesses and conditions.
Reduce Stress and Improve Brain Function
Green tea contains theanine, an amino acid that increases levels of many naturally produced chemicals that aid in brain function. Among these chemicals are gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), serotonin, and dopamine. These chemicals may reduce mental and physical stress, and help prevent age-related memory decline. Theanine has been shown to affect areas of your brain involved in attention and complex problem-solving.
Lowers Risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s
There are early studies showing green tea extract increases connectivity between the parietal and frontal cortex of the brain lowering risk of dementia and Alzheimers.
Polyphenols also appear to have an inhibitory affect on mechanisms involved in triggering Parkinson’s disease.
Weight Loss
There is a question as to weather green tea affects weight loss. Regardless of if the tea itself will help with weight loss, switching from soda and other sugary drinks to green tea will definitely help in reducing your waist line.
Lowers Cancer Risk
Polyphenols, found in green tea act to shut down the production and spread of tumor cells and discourage the growth of the blood vessels that feed the tumors.
Lowers Risk of Type 2 Diabetes
Green tea has a balancing effect on metabolic rate.
Lowers Risk of Heart Disease and Stroke
Green tea improves blood flow.
Lowers Cholesterol
Green tea also appears to inhibit the oxidation of LDL (bad) cholesterol in your bloodstream. Thus lowering the risk of stroke and other heart related problems.
Increases Well Being and Longevity
Well being and longevity are increased by green tea’s ability to improve blood flow, reduce bad cholesterol, increase mental function, and reduce stress.
Iced or hot, green tea is always a deliciously good choice.
